Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
Pack your bags and head to northern Africa!
We are excited to announce the release of Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps, the stand-alone expansion to the critically-acclaimed and award-winning Panzer Corps series. A year after release of its predecessor, Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps is packed with new units, new scenarios, new battlegrounds, and much more!
Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps takes place in 1941, a time when the Axis armies seemed to be on the offensive everywhere. With the arrival of the “Deutsches Afrikakorps” or “DAK” in North Africa and its leader Erwin Rommel, the end seemed to be near for the Allies. Players take command of the DAK with the goals of capturing the Suez Canal and the oil-rich lands of the Arabian Peninsula. If they are cunning enough, resourceful and command their troops well, players might be able to strike towards the jewel of the British Empire: India.
New unit types, new scenario objectives that can change during battle, improved AI, new tile-sets, an improved editor and much, much more come loaded in Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps. New players will be able to purchase Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps without the need to already own Panzer Corps, while current players can add the game onto their menu with ease.
Be sure to check out the interview with Flashback Games Alex Shargin and an AAR of one of the scenarios in Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps!
Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps can be purchased as a full stand alone game by players new to the Panzer Corps series. For more information on Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps, visit the official product page on the Slitherine or Matrix Games sites.

Cool. Especially im excited to see how new multiplayer maps work.
Re: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
A little mistake already spotted in the June 15th 1941's briefing: General von Paulus. It should be spelled Paulus (not von). A common mistake.

Re: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
Since someone "official" mentioned that the release of the translations will be linked with the release of the next patch, does this mean we have to wait AT LEAST yet another four weeks for the next patch,
containing the "name shuffling" and "crash when ambushed" fixes ?

If you're referring to one of my posts, I clearly stated that I was speculating. I said it twice.huertgenwald wrote:Since someone "official" mentioned that the release of the translations will be linked with the release of the next patch, does this mean we have to wait AT LEAST yet another four weeks for the next patch,

viewtopic.php?f=121&t=36789&p=349191Honestly, I don't have any information about a release date.
I speculate, that the patch will be release with the German localization of AK. I repeat, that's me speculating.
So I speculate again, due to the last information we got here from Iain, that the patch for fixing 1.10 issues won't be the same as the one contain the German localization. I'm speculating.

Re: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
I'm speculating, too: Panzer Corps Afrikakorps Deutsch bei Amazon (release date 5th October 2012)VPaulus wrote:So I speculate again, due to the last information we got here from Iain, that the patch for fixing 1.10 issues won't be the same as the one contain the German localization. Re: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
Just wanted to say: This DLC rocks
I played this right after the main campaign so I haven't started the other DLCs yet (although I own em all
), but this one is really fun and well done. I just finished the scenario right before Cairo (the battle where Rommel got promoted to Feldmarshall, don't remember the map name right now). I played to that map in one go basically. I had to restart a few scenarios since I'm playing on Feldmarschall Difficulty for the first time, but I've managed DVs so far
It's challenging, surprising, dynamic, I like it
Also it gives a nice impression of the real battles and their dynamic. Large scale encirclements etc. very nicely done. I'm already looking forward to trying the other DLCs and of course the allied campaign once it arrives. Please make it a big campaign, possibly starting already in 1940 with the french, doing some defensive stuff, or even before 1939 when the italians attacked in east africa. A nice long campaign plz
This game with all its content is really a Panzer General's dream

Re: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
I bought the game its great but i had to install the windows 8 and now i have to download again the afrika corps expansion... the initial download link that i had in my email its not available anymore (2 weeks time only). What do i do now ?

Re: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
Not sure if this applies to everyone but when I newly installed AK after the latest Panzer Corps (PC) update I had to (re)install the update again as when I opened PC the screen was blank (just a black screen). Like I say, not sure if it's a bug or just my circumstances, however, everything ran fine after the second installation of v1.11.
Hope this helps.

Is the ability to import core from GC40 going to be implemented?

Re: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
Let me just say this is just the greatest version yet!
Kudos to all - more fun than I have had in a long time.
I just really hope that some where down the road that an America in the Pacific version will come out, wink-wink!

Re: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
Thank you Sliterine! I will buy this DLC first, after "mastering" the main campaign. I'm italian, and I still remember the mausoleum of El-Alamein.
I will happy play this campaign as soon as possible.

Re: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
I have not bought any of the games in the series - am mainly a Western front guy.
Is this a good first purchase for the series? I then would buy the '44 Western front expansion to go with this.

Re: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps Now Available!
You can add the DLC's to the AK game if you don't want to play the basic PC game. '40 and '43 are also "Western Front" games, too. The '43 game is good to play since you will start building your corps up so '44 will be less difficult.

Well I didn't get a reply to my earlier question.
I'll ask again.
Would it be possible to enable the import of cores from GC40, please?
Balla. :0/
