Research or Tech Tree

Hello,

I am working on a research tree by myself and therefor chose to play with the Scholars, just to get the science bonus. I am on turn 155 right now and got as far as "Tier 10". Like to call it that way, because there are always 4 Techs per tier. Not that you have to get all to advance to the next tier.
Just a question: how many tiers have you included in the tree?

What I am desperately missing is a detailed description of what the next tech is really coming up with. Right now I got only one Tech that brings up more than one new mechanic; normally you get only one new thingy per researched Tech. So it should be included in the Tech-description what the Tech is coming up with. A Design, a Building or whatever.

There are 27 tiers at the moment.

Looking at the data or language xmls would probably make it a lot easier.
