Battle Academy: Operation Husky for iOS, PC & MAC is out!
EDIT - the iPad version has been approved and released so if you update you will now be able to buy Husky on iPad.
Slitherine is proud to announce the release of the long-anticipated Battle Academy: Operation Husky. After turning the iOS wargaming market upside down with its revolutionary gameplay system, the acclaimed Battle Academy series is back with this latest add-on.
The new expansion covers the Allied invasion of Sicily, codenamed Operation Husky, which began on the night of 9–10 July 1943, and ended 17 August, adding extra Axis and Allies units and a brand new Sicilian terrain set.
This large scale amphibious and airborne operation opened the way to the combat in the hot and dry Sicilian landscape and the Invasion of Italy by the Allied forces. The principle units involved belonged to the 7th U.S. Army under the command of General George S. Patton and the British 8th Army under General Bernard Law Montgomery, gathered in the 15th Army Group, under the responsibility of the British General Harold Alexander.
Land on the coast of Licata and push through the Sicilian countryside to the volcanic slopes of Etna, neutralizing the German and Italian troops in your way!
The game is available for PC, Mac and iPad as an in-app purchase.

QQ: Is there a solution in place for buying Operation Husky *once*, and having it licensed for both iPad and Mac?
Also, is there a price differential on Operation Husky on iPad vs. Mac?

Hi,
The IAP for Husky doesn't seem to be working ..
... it just sits on 'waiting' ... forever.
I haven't purchased 'Sealion', and I tried purchasing it to see if that IAP was working, .. and within 2 secs I get the prompt to confirm the purchase.
Cheers
Tom

We are not allowed by Apple to link iOS and other platforms.jhkrischel wrote:QQ: Is there a solution in place for buying Operation Husky *once*, and having it licensed for both iPad and Mac?

The price on iOS is $10 while the price on PC/Mac is $15.

I'll check into it. It might be that the lag on the Apple server side is different between the BA update and the IAP. Sorry for any inconvenience.Thomasew wrote:Hi,

That Axis gun in the screenshot looks properly scary... not looking forward to facing that badboy!
Re: Battle Academy: Operation Husky for iOS, PC & MAC is out
Hi Again,
Does the PC version of Operation Husky include the 2.10 patch?
The reason I ask, is that the 2.10 Patch is only 1Mb larger than the Husky download.
If not, .. is there a preferred install sequence .. e.g. 2.10 Patch .. then .. install Husky.?
Thanks
Cheers

Re: Battle Academy: Operation Husky for iOS, PC & MAC is out
The Husky download does indeed include all the 2.1 patch files. You do not need to install both
You can in fact install the patch, then enter your serial via the launcher.

Re: Battle Academy: Operation Husky for iOS, PC & MAC is out
There seems to be an issue with the iOS release which prevents purchase of operation Husky at this time on iPad. We have already submitted a fixed version that will allow purchase.
I can only apologise for the mistake and the inconvenience caused.
Cheers

Ack! I guess us IOS folks will have to wait a week or so. Too bad it takes Apple so long to get things through the approval process.

Is there any break throughts for the iOS modding community? Can we make mods via iPad? Or just bug fixes on the URL when downloading?

Re: Battle Academy: Operation Husky for iOS, PC & MAC is out
We have no plans to allow for iPad modding support. There are just too many issues with UI and allowing people to edit files, etc. Sorry!LandMarine47 wrote:Is there any break throughts for the iOS modding community? Can we make mods via iPad? Or just bug fixes on the URL when downloading?
