Downloaded OK now the game crashes every time I try to go into it!

Destroyed the game for me. Everything works until the battle map comes up. Then the game freezes up my computer. I can hear the music, but I cannot move the mouse. I can't even use CNTRL-ALT-DEL to break the program. I literally have to pull the plug and reboot. This has happened all three times I've selected a scenario.

works fine for me, I have carried on with the two MP games that I was playing before installing the patch.
I am running WinXP pro, my opponents Win 7.
