Online Players: Use Version 1.1

Post by daviddunham »

We are still completing our investigation, but it appears that if one player is running the new update (1.1) and the other player is on an older build, units can go into strange states of supply. This doesn’t seem to happen if both players are on 1.1.

If you are in the middle of a game, and have not seen anything weird, update ASAP. (Updating will not affect game state. The only issue is that if an old version reads a saved game created by the new version.)

Is V1.1 going to get a minor tweak to V1.11 in light of the community playtesting and comments ?

The following 4 adjustments to the AI would make a significant impact on AI 'intelligence'. These are the 4 BIGGEST reasons why I beat the Allied AI.

-The Allied 4th should have very little reason to leave the southern map edge.
-The Allied 2nd should have very little reason to leave the northern map edge.
-Allies should always keep a garrison of some sort in Bastogne, even at the risk of being cutoff.
-Allied units should never abandon Leige or Verviers if there is an Axis unit capable of capturing it with a simple movement into that space. Same applies to Spa if the Allies hold Verviers. I have captured these three VP spaces many times without a fight due to Allies moving out of them...for what appeared to be no reason.

2 cent input.
