SPM v 1.1.55 (Beta) now available

Post by Nacho84 »

Hello all,

The latest beta patch of SPM is now available both as a Steam beta branch and as a rar package in our FTP!

If you are running the game from Steam, please see here for more information.

Alternatively, if you bought the game from our online stores, please download the patch directly from the Matrix FTP at ftp://beta.matrixgames.com . When prompted, please specify the following username and password: SPMBetaTester/SpmBeta1114. I strongly recommend you to download the file using filezilla.

Inside the FTP you will find an rar file named SPM-Windows-Slitherine-1-1-55.rar. Just download it and unpack it so that it overwrites the contents of your current installation folder.

This patch includes a bunch of changes and tweaks. Make sure you check the full changelog here in order to get a complete overview of this release. Notice that we'll be releasing SPM 1.2.0 soon via the auto-updater tool. You can either download the beta patch now if you're curious and want to see the latest changes or wait a few more days until SPM 1.2.0 is released.

Please feel free to report any issues you find in the forums. Looking forward to hear your feedback!

Cheers,
Ignacio Liverotti

Hi there,
Since today was my only day off, when I started steam I was a little surprised to see version 1.1.55 but decided to go ahead and give it a shot and I love it. The "Tiger Teams" make a world of difference especially in the early game though in the late part of the game they sure do get expensive. I played the Soviet campaign on Hard and completed my moon landing in Q3 of 1970. I have a particular strategy that I play though some people may find it a little strange  and will be glad to share it if y'all want me to. I liked the fact you added a rover mission on the moon and the congrats I got from the Soviet leader as some of the goals were accomplished was a nice touch. In the final statement when it said there was going to be an orbital lab, a base on the moon and a manned mission to Mars all sounded very cool and I am certainly hoping to see those added in the future. I really don't play multiplayer as I am more "old school" as I grew up way before the internet was around so single player games were all there was. That is one of the reasons I like this game so much. So keep up the good work and keep rolling out those updates

The GSA bronze and silver Steam achievements are mixed up. Silver should be 1973, and Bronze should be 1975.

Any idea when the above mentioned will be released. I am really looking forward to the new stuff, and am tired of pulling me hair out trying to get the 1.1.55 beta patch to load in my computer. (I am not that computer savvy!) Thanks!!

Hello bumble,

I don't have the exact date when the official update will be available, but I'm quite confident it will be within the next two weeks.
