LOS

Post by Waltero »

Just wondering If we can expect to have something to check LOS, in the near future?

You basically have it already. If you grab a weapon (unfortunately you need a target) and target a unit, just move it (the target-line) around the board and you can get a rough LOS to any hex on the board...I just wish that the targeting line was thinner, much thinner.

I fully agree :) - and in addition, could we have an easier way to deselect a weapon when you want to switch between primary/secondary weapons, or just deselect the one you hold - other than clicking in the dark screen border ?
(Could maybe be a double right-mouse click ?)

Hi Waltero, Vonox

We are definately planning to release a LOS tool, a way to check the LOS between any two areas

@Vonox: what do you mean exactly when you ask to deselect a weapon? You would like to have the option to have no weapons selected?
At the moment, In the game a weapon is always selected, so you can be shown the possible targets the selected weapon can reach

If I want to get rid of the white tail, without having first to select a target, and then clicking the red delete cross in the menu - then I'm forced to mouseclick in the black border surrounding the screen.
In this way, I save a click or two if I change my mind, and just want to move my unit, instead of opening fire.

Btw... look in the red circle: Here we have my Poltergeist again - the black popup-box, which never disappears if my "Primary Weapon" is destroyed on one of my tanks in "The great (und secret) Escape"!
 Quite scary

I have been able to get rid of the "rubber band of arrows" by clicking on an empty square on the board. Since there is no valid target the attack does not execute.

However, I agree it is not intuitive and seems like a way to lose an attack.
