How long should an install take?

How long should an install take?

I bought CEAW Gold and downloaded the GS4.0 update. I have been trying to install the game for TWO HOURS and it is still only at about 80%. I am on WIndows 10 so I don't know if the installer isn't optimised for that OS but seriously, should it take anywhere near this long to install the game? This is just for the core game, I haven't even tried to install the update yet...

Just replying to myself. I checked in My Games and there is a different download file in there from what I originally had. When I purchased the game the download file was called 'CommanderEuropeAtWarGrandStrategy-SetupRelease-300'. I just checked my games list and the download file is now ''CommanderEuropeGoldPC'.

The old file was around 585 mb and the 'new' one, which I can see is the 1.12 Gold exe is around 188mb. The installer was obviously trying to install the core game AND every file from the GS4.0 update together, when I cleared the partial install off the system there were 27,000+ files in there!

So to update to GS4.0 I just copy the extracted folder into the main CEAW folder, is that correct?
