You know, I read a couple of "previews" ads online and I have to say I got a bit upset.
Paraphrasing: "the best strategy game that you have ever seen, now with soldiers having different clothing/armour for the first time in the history of gaming!, because you know not every soldier was a clone soldier from the star wars clone wars....LOL LOL LOL".
What a bunch of morons. Ignorant and only saying what they feel is the cool (coolness by what factor I don't know, perhaps by the factor of how much they are getting paid by some companies?) and totaly ignoring other games in the past, RECENT EVEN past.
I am getting sick of them, I realy do. Perhaps I should start a site on my own for reviews.

If you think that makes an uproar the entire campaign is limited to only 225 turn (althougth Prasthereaper, CA Staff) said that it will have an open ending (possibilty to continue after turn 225) there will be no events. The TW forums were in a complete uproar because they removed historical dates and replaced them with turns. ie. 1080 A.D = Turn 1. Heh I got banned from their forums for some time because I made fun of the fanboys and accused a CA Staffer of lying. CA is moving away from what made their original games and more into the realm of "eye candy"
I have noticed that these forums need more patrons as they seem a bit flat, but in contrast to the forums @ TW the Staff actually make more replies.

I still have a fool`s hope that Wikiman or Pras will come in one day and announce that theyll bring back years and events...
Its a sad time for the Total War fans, and a jolly good time for the little children that CA is targetting with the pretty eye-candy.
One thing that got my attention is that they did mention working on the AI and diplomatic systems, so that may be a thumbs up. But really, its obvious that if every turn counts as 2 years yet generals will only age 1, the game will be totally unrealistic at the campaign map. The battlefeild seems awesome, with its new features, but the campaign map is really worring me.
People, keep your fingers crossed for a good campaign map. If CA will screw up, we can all get ourselves nice big mugs of beer and encourage Slitherine to cut CA into bits with Legion II.
