GOG version crashes

The game consistently crashes whenever I leave it to run after disconnecting from the internet. I run it through GOG Galaxy, and apparently it causes an access violation.

Try to run the game as administrator:

Open the game installation folder.
Locate and select a file named "autorun.exe".
Press the right mouse button and select "Properties".
Click on the "Compatibility" tab.
Tick the option "Run this program as an administrator".
Click on "Apply" and "Ok".

It might be linked to the launcher. Try launching the game from the install directory (non-launcher way).
