Game can play... but no saved games!

HI Folks,

Had email with Slitherine tech support and what they suggested didn't work. Running latest updated Windows 10. The desktop icon won't bring up the menu, but if I click on the app in the folder it runs fine(with some of the bugs other have reported).

My big issue is it will not save any of my games. So it's been great to learn the game mechanics, but now it's an irritant.

I had to build the save game folder structure myself Documents>My Games>Panzer Corps 2> Saves

Even after that nada. Will not save a campaign game, scenario, and the new DDay scenario .....

Any ideas on how to solve this?

EDIT: I've also reinstalled the game and the .04 update four times.

It sounds like administrative issues.

Are you running the game as administrator?

I thought I had, so to be sure I checked off the compatablity box "Run as adminstrator" and then right clicked and ran as administrator.... same result no save.

It sounds like a virus checker is blocking the game from writing the to folder.

You, sir, are the winner! I use Windows Defender and had to turn off "Controlled Folder Access".

Of course it comes on in default installation, but that did the trick!
