Re: Need evaluators for a new campaign

It'll be at least a few days. BUT check out Eriks US corps campaign. It's got Sicily action. Also he might have single player scenarios. You can find a buddy to play Erik's multiplayer Husky scens. Enjoy! conboy ps -- one more thing about mine - it only portrays the US 3d Infantry Division activitie...

Re: Mystery Deployment Hexes

Thanks guys.
I guess I just never noticed it before.
Sort of like the brand name on cheap sunglasses.

So I guess it's ok.

Mystery Deployment Hexes

Here is a mystery regarding deployment hexes appearing around friendly flags. I have set up designated deployment hexes Screenshot 52.jpg at the forward line of troops. The deployment hexes only show there in the editor. (fist fig). Note that there are no deployment hexes around the US flags in the ...

Navman,
I think at least a week. Couple scenarios are giving me a hard time.

Re: Need evaluators for a new campaign

man that is funny! actually made me laugh Well, I fixed the scenario but could not crop it. Now it's better than it was, thanks to you, ColonelY, and Navman. I added a lot of German resistance, fixed the triggers, added some armor counterattacks, a flank attack by the US 1st Armored Division, small ...

Re: Need evaluators for a new campaign

Erik said The scenario played reasonably fast. The AI times were actually quite short, maybe due to the low number AI units. Well, in that case I think I will give up on the wild goose chase of cropping this xx thang xx down. Cropping it and copying over the _crop text files ain't so bad when you ge...

Re: Need evaluators for a new campaign

Thanks, Erik, your comments are helpful as always. I gotta go back to work because I thought that was perfect, finally. Say, one more thang -- did this scenario play super slow or was it acceptable? I know it takes a while to load. I am having zero luck cropping it and retaining the ability for the ...

Re: Need evaluators for a new campaign

Erik,
Thanks for your comments. I considered all these issues at the start of the campaign development and went in another direction.

I didn't know that the M45 Pershing and Calliope artillery were available...

8.4.4 Editor Problem with Cropping

I have a problem with cropping -- when I crop a scenario, it removes important bits of information in the triggers. The screenshot 49 is the trigger before cropping. The > sign is very important. When I crop the map, the > sign goes away and the trigger actuates when you start the scenario, as shown...

Re: Free France Campaign

Bru, Thank you for the compliment. The Liberation of Paris would end the campaign in spectacular fashion! Good luck with the campaign -- I look forward to playing it. conboy ps - My reading and investigating did not extend beyond the US 3d Infantry Division, so whatever French involvement I depicted...

Bru, Erik Y'all wrote: We don't want to duplicate or "top" something that a currently active forum member has contributed. Well, I skipped most of the French involvement in the Vosges. Re: Repeated crashes in Editor Mode

Bebro, Yep, I think it has something to do with capturing territory with no-supply SBS units. When they occupy the objective, a trigger changes ownership to the allies. Too fancy, I guess. I rebuilt the triggers yesterday, and still have some issues with both Fortresses not blowing up, even when the...

Re: Repeated crashes in Editor Mode

Bebro, Erik: Sorry about the triggers pointing to the same objective! I have deleted and re-input that trigger so many times that the last was in error. Embarrassing! I fixed the trigger and tried again -- still crashes! grrrr! Maybe I am overloading the memory but it is an instant crash, no degrada...
