Re: conboy's campaigns
levince55: Hi I'm having trouble with the Anzio breakout scenario. "Take Phase II Objectvives < 19" is marked as failed at turn 17. Bug ? Does anyone have the same problem ? Uh-oh, I set the German reciprocal trigger for turn 17 instead of turn 18. So, the player must make the objectives by Turn 17 ...

Re: conboy's campaigns
JTFox, Tactics you used seem pretty solid to me. I never thought about using armor out front to draw artillery fire! It's difficult to get the AI to mount a tactically savvy attack -- you'd have to set up a variety of AI teams with differing missions and aggressiveness. We just had a detailed discus...

Dayam!
Thanks Gabe!
So the folder name has to match the campaign name...
As Gomer might say, "Shazayam!"

Re: conboy's campaigns
JTFox, Good for you on the first Anzio scenario. Let me know how the second goes, please. That one makes a lot of people run out screaming, as I have heard third-hand from other players (who said their mates quit playing because of it). If you make it through, the campaign still has many rewarding s...

Re: Some replays won't play
Tech Support, This problem has not gone away. Seems that some of the replays of the 3d Division Campaign will play. None of them from my computer will play. Not on my computer or anyone else's. See post from JTFox: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=374&t=102239#p911108 Here is link to ...

Thanks very much Gabe!
If you had a hard time with the Second Rhine crossing, then it needs fixin'.
Glad you made it through and thanks for the report.

Re: Thinking of New Campaign, Some Questions Though
I lucked in to the 3d Division. I wanted to find out more about Anzio, so I made a scenario, and then when I wanted to make a campaign, I picked the dominant unit in that history. Lucky me, it was the most interesting story (to me) of all US Divisions. Then, I gave Salerno short shrift in the campai...

Re: finding other players
A sure-fire way is to keep checking this board for when Erik asks for volunteers to test out his new PvP scenarios. Also check all the Parriego posts here - there's a group that plays those games regularly. You could post on this multiplayer forum and describe what you are interested in and maybe ge...

Re: conboy's campaigns
Gabe held on to the heavy AA so he could also use them as anti-tank, I assume. His mod allows switching modes between AA and AT for some guns that don't do it in the vanilla version. I also think he prefers the M3 Lee tank to the Sherman. The action regarding your switch to half-tracks wasn't puniti...

Re: conboy's campaigns
JTFox, I think the really hard part of San Fratello and Brolo is patiently preparing (assembling) for the Division-level assault on the Phase II objectives. Somebody else is having trouble with San Fratello and Brolo. Here's a .rec replay file for San Fratello and Brolo I thought I'd post this playt...

Re: conboy's campaigns
Gabe, I always take your comments and recommendations very seriously, so thanks for commenting. I'll keep them in mind as I update/fix -- I'll have to check that trigger to see why you were awarded kills -- obviously, the trigger starts counting before it actuates, which is weird. Something else to ...

Re: Draw Criteria
Bru, I concur. This is a far simpler method than having a reciprocal for each objective. This way, when all Human objectives are achieved, the Human wins. If all are not achieved (any objective still open) the Human loses. You can set up one trigger on the AI side to check all Human objectives and b...

Re: conboy's campaigns
Gabe,
Thank you for the kind words and advice.
I should have said "seam", not "gap".
Looking forward to any other comments arising from this playthrough.
But, it is very gratifying that you are playing it again!
Thanks again, comrade.

Re: Draw Criteria
Cool! I just started using Paint.net for editing pictures. I use the Snip app for screen grabs. Very handy. I have been using it to do screen grabs of old news reels. And the app I think is best for resizing pictures is the paint3d that comes with windows. So that probably shows how limited my bitma...

Re: Draw Criteria
Thank you, Bru. I think the lesson that should be conveyed from the 3d ID Campaign is, keep it simple ! No matter how many times I reviewed it, there are still errors like the one you pointed out. Hope you didn't spend too much time on that, but I really appreciate it. conboy p.s. what grafix editor...
