Protected artillery
Sorry if this has been covered but I cannot find anything. When Infantry are in rear base contact with deployed artillery. Any one charging the artillery fights the infantry on the front line of the artillery. So the Infantry are assumed to be in amongst the artillery. Question is can you choose whi...

Errata List for releif of Vienna
The new way of looking at this list now has 9 units minima (way more than any other) which for a 650 point army leaves very little if any choice?
Was this intended, as it just about kills the list of for anything but large battles?
Thanks

Regimental guns
Used reg art for the first time and now need to check on how they work?
The rules state that the number of impact dice are the same for both sides. But then says that having a reg gun +1 or is it the same number of dice but you can opt to use the reg gun if it has a better factor?
Thanks.

Immobile artillery
The Ottoman list has Heavy artillery behind field works as immobile. Do they still have the option or equilivant of arc of fire as each gun would in effect still be able to point slightly to the side?

Field fortifications
Last night I tried to assort some field fortifications and a strange point came up. Charging arterilly on a hill behind fortifications, really dum of me I know. But I won in the melee, more than that he died ie took a base off. Now they didn't rout (artillery) so I didn't persue. This was in my mele...

First round draw
I would be in favor of an open draw as we tend to fight in period where possible and I would like to try something different. Same applies for the first two rounds of combat avoiding club members as we play each other on a regular basis and change is as good as a rest. Mike. ps. We find that we are ...

Fig's for Blood and Gold
I put this in army design at first but feel I'll get a better response here. I see a number of manufacturers doing some Aztex's but little else can anyone suggest other suppliers or is it a case of use aztex's for most of the lists?
Cheers Mike.

Removing bases in combat
We had several questions come up on legal formations last week and I would like to ask a what if question. If a unit of 8 pike fight one file against each of two enemy Bgs drawing one and surviving a test but loosing a base that file looses the base but next round the same happens again, is the base...

I fight both Sassanid and Kushan so use elephants and Cats together with out a problem. Even side by side only twwo bases are within the smell area so only two are disordered and loosing 1 in three is zero for 2. I also like the Cats in 4's as 6's are so expensive. In open contests where you may(wil...

Release dates for future army books
Still waiting for Swifter than eagles with great expectations and am now looking forward to Empires of the dragon. Most likely will also get oath of fealty and Blood and gold as well. Is there an official release date for these titles or do we just have to wait until nearer the time. :?: Thanks and ...

Just picked up on this tread and having been thinking of doing a flank march for the first time managed to read the rules relating to them. My follow on question is. If you use an allied command for the flank march it says that his whole command must flank march, but earlier it said a maximum of thr...

Much as above, lots of ele's, Drilled not undrilled others, Lt char's are very handy, the cav try and keep as rear support. Tried the WWg's but apart from a flank guard not much use, other than as extra cheap BG's that tend to be able not to die. Clubmen well worth the points. Between 6-8 bow depend...

Middle Assyrians
As seams a common practice, getting ready for the new lists. I want to change another set of rules to FOG. So will there be a mix of heavy and light chariots and or options, also the select levy and levy troops are they going to be a mix of HF and MF or all medium. Please answer what you can but if ...
