Might as well be a victory parade... right?
Well as some of you guys may be aware... I am continuing my Grand Campaign East play through that has been going on for several years... mainly due to me tending to take some long breaks throughout 44, and especially 45, when at times I spent more or less an entire year between missions at times. Th...

Re: The line must be drawn here! (Berlin Grand Campaign 45
Great post on your tactics, thanks for sharing - I'll keep it in mind when (if) I get there. But... you played the entire GC on an iPad? Blimey, you must have some patience 8) I have a really bad really long commute, but its easier to take it through public transportation than through driving, so I...

Re: The line must be drawn here! (Berlin Grand Campaign 45
1.2 brought in a whole load of other changes along with soft cap, although most of them made it harder rather than easier. You might be better off disabling soft cap (use Nico's mod through GME if you'd rather not edit games files) rather than changing a load of other features. The problem/issue wi...

Re: The line must be drawn here! (Berlin Grand Campaign 45
Way to stick it out and get the job done, I am not sure I will be able to garner the Decisive on Manstein, if I make it this far, but I plan on giving it all I got thanks for giving me a possible strategy to implement. I'm only playing on Colonel, but under 1.20 rules, and the the soft cap makes it...

The line must be drawn here! (Berlin Grand Campaign 45 E)
To those of you who are following my posts (my last one was over here) http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=121&t=75602 I've finally started playing Panzer Corps again after a long break after being frightened away by a handful of really crash and burn attempts at playing Berlin 45. T...

Re: Well at least the commute is easy (Grand Campaign Berlin
Hi Iwan53, You have a great core, but what you need here is to pick a defensive line and to hold the line, yes give up un-defendable flags. tanks backed by art SP or Towed, use your Flak and fighters to clear the sky. do not be tempted to cross into soviet territory and take back flags too soon as ...

Well at least the commute is easy (Grand Campaign Berlin 45)
Well here we are. My on again off again (very off again honestly I don't think I played much at all last year honestly, not sure why, was just busy with other stuff I guess, but finally got bit by the Panzer bug again and so is now back on) Grand Campaign (East) Colonel Difficulty Game has finally t...

Hey was playing around with my Ipad version today and noticed some new error happening. When I start the game everything is fine, when I load a game everything is fine, but if I load another game after my first, a 1/2 to 1/4th of my screen is taken up by the "main page" with the "star...

Re: I can see my house from here... (Grand Campaign E45)
Yep, after throwing another ride into work, ride back from work, and a few hours at home for good measure I managed to clear Budapest '45 without loosing any units. My artillery still ended up getting banged up (one piece was even taken down to *1* hit point, but evidently RNGeezus was with me. The ...

I find I really enjoy "Hearts of Iron" by Sabaton while playing Grand Campaign 45 East.

I can see my house from here... (Grand Campaign E45)
Well my on again, off again love hate affair with Panzer General continues. I bought it for myself on my ipad in December of 2012 (I think might have been 13) and bought the Grand Campaign and all the fixings to go with it as well after clearing the normal one. I've decided to put my foot down and u...

Re: Want to know before I buy...
can't really comment as only have pc version and as a beta tester i'm biased anyway  but hopefully someone will, as i'm not fully sure what a soft cap is?  Soft Cap from Panzer Corps was the more expensive units you deployed, the less prestige you got. An army with a average unit ...

Want to know before I buy...
Hey guys, just so I know before I pick this can someone who has bought the game tell me if there is a soft cap system like in Panzer Corps? (Given how similar the visual set up looks I can't help but ask). I loved Panzer Corps and as a Warhammer 40K fan I'd love a version of the game in that setting...

For those of you who are interested I am proud to say I finally managed to get a result on Budapest 44 that I could live with (was actually up about 500 prestige after repairs) and am now starting up Goldgap. I'm sure that I'm ahead of the preloaded core curve since I have 9K prestige and an army fu...

What, no mention at all of the Pegasi airborn corps you doubtlessly will also have at your disposal or are you saving that for an expansion?

Simple (iPad) problem with a simple fix....
As I work my way through the ever longer grand campaign I end up with a veritable pile of saved games (big surprise) even at just one save for the start of each mission and one for the last turn that is over two hundred saves, not to mention my vanilla ones. Right now saves are listed alphabetically...

Re: Prestige Soft Cap
I echo the comments of others here who have said the soft cap should be an option that you can easily toggle on and off from the settings menu rather than something you need to alter the game files to effect (since as I am playing on an iPad that is not an option). Right now I am muddling my way th...

Re: How upset do you get when you fail?
Thanks guys this is more or less exactly the sort of stuff I wanted to hear, right now my main style of play is that if I screw up badly enough that I feel I need to restart I just restart the mission completely, the only exception was in Kharkov 43 when after completing it on the last turn I realiz...
