In Stalin Line mission you encounter some Estonian partisans, can you pacify them peacefully?

I am, in fact, already working on it, but it will probably be a few days before I post. There are a few Events that are conditional on imported Cores I want to check and I may not have any Cores ready to import.
Appreciate all the work you put into this, love seeing what I missed the first time around and challenging myself to get every last little hidden cache.

Glad to hear it finding use!

And let me tell you, there are some very tricky rewards in this particular Campaign, including one that I feel a lot of people might miss do to a particular requirement for it to fire.

To trigger last mission's [*] special event you need to capture and have 100 KV-1 1940 in purchase menu. Obviously you loose all of them, but you get 1(1/10 aka you cant field it) unit of Jagtiger as compensation :D

To clarify, that 1 Jagdtiger is a token. Just as you aren't meant to fly a Meteor III after your adventure in Sea Lion 1940, you're not going to field a Jagdtiger in 1942.
Picking these far, far future units as tokens ensures the scripts that rely on very precise values don't get contaminated by say... the General trait that awards prototypes at the start of each scenario.

And because CP don't track from one DLC to another by design, these tokens are values that can and do track. It's planting more seeds for the future. 1941 saw a lot of seeds come to fruition in the event stuffed Poland Training scenario, and we're planting more for future developments. There are so many events in that training scenario: normal, from past DLC, and a secret one too...

There is no better place for building up to events down the road than as part of a gigantic multi part adventure. :)

Can we by chance have a quick run down of stuff that needs to be done early in the campaign to not miss anything? I've just got Operation Mercury done and I'm glad I checked here about that secret hint . But I also don't want to miss anything else beyond that before moving forward.

But the self-discovery and replaying for those that you missed are part of the fun! :D

I suppose I can let the cat out of the bag a bit before the official post.
Honestly, the 100 KV1 (Remember you need specifically Kv-1/40s! Russians start rolling out KV-1/41s towards the end of the Campaign and those don't count for the Event.) Event is the big one that players can easily miss if they don't go hunting KV-1s like crazy (You also have to complete the Challenge Objective on the relevant Scenario for the Event to fire as well). There is an Event in Operation Mercury that requires Galland and an Event in Undisclosed Location PO that requires the Meteor from the 1940 Campaign, but those are cases where either you have it already or you don't.
The other thing to pay attention to is that in U.L.PO there are 2 Commendation Rewards you can buy that each cost 3 Commendations. You can buy both of them if you have 6 Commendations, but the Campaign is set up in a way that if you already purchased the previous 2 Commendation Rewards (the Bf109Z and He111Z), even if you completed every Bonus Objective you will only have 5 Commendations and thus can only get one.

Tbf, If I wasn't checking LUA files to make sure I don't miss anything I doubt I would have found out about the Event at all. And without a guide or heads up you could probably play through the Campaign several times and never end up with enough KVs to trigger the Event.

Hello everybody!

I recently started working with LUA scripts for the use of commendation points. Like that really!

In addition, I have the question whether there are certain, prescribed line spacing between the command lines in the Scenario.lua files?

I would also like to know whether upper and lower case letters (eg "A" or "a") are important?

And third, with the new 1941 DLC, there are any new LUA functions are implemented, like counter of points, traits or other things?

Does anyone know if there is a longer chain for the Galland promotion? I would give him up for the "greater war effort", but not for some BF 109G, OKW will have to do better than that

Kerensky has stated the offer is because in real life Galland was promoted out of flying, and he felt obligated to include such action in the game.
He wasn't sure if anyone would take it.
He has given no indication of a later offer.

I dunno if obligated is quite the right word. This was absolutely done for a generous dosage of historical flavoring. And we're getting to the point where the players' efforts in the campaign are stretching and even divorcing from historical realities... and this is a really nice way to say something is the 'canon' version of events, which may no longer jive with the player's personal iteration of events.

Galland leaving fighting service, not fighting on the Eastern Front, and assuming his historical position as General of Fighters, is the 'canon' version of events, and future... things... that reference this will reflect that version of events. :)
But the devs put a lot of extra effort to allow players to continue to play as they please with Galland (not a forced retirement).

It would have been much less effort to make it a forced retirement than a very complicated script choice. :P
But we don't make good content with extra details and bells and whistles because it is easy, we do it because it is hard, and I'd like to think it's something that gets a little extra notice.

I let him go. Don't want to hold back my hero's career. Gonna miss him in Russia though, these prototypes are a cold comfort.

I feel like I'm gonna need 2 or more cores going forward to see what the potential benefits of letting him go are (not a bad thing). I imagine having the 109Gs in Russia are going to be mostly a meh point though with all the bad weather missions.

Hahe, I feel you. :)

Got 4 cores and still with all the options and branching possibilities I feel there will be replay value as things continue to extend into future campaigns with possible variables.

Will retiring Galland give out a reward in a future dlc?
If so oh man that's a tough choice to make. I hope it's worth it because galland is a crazy strong hero.

Something seems to be wrong with my game.
I start playing again after finding this discussion and i'm now at Warsaw again. OFC i play again for the special rewards. i did cheat me some prestige and tried the newhero function for some or more likely even more times.
But i think that this stops triggering the event to sink the prestige for commendation points. i play with the game in german.
I got Oleh Dir and placed him on my Azul-Inf. The amored Train appeared in Lvov (Lwiw in german imo).
But the 1939 prestige sink in Brest/Wlodawa never happens. So i have 8 Point at the end of that battle.
Then i can spend 8 Commendation-Points to investigate the rumors. And all my points are gone.
Is there the ability that the prestige sink will come up later? because i really wanted the get the Il-2.

Can someone help with this?

the prestige sink is at the start of Wlodawa, if u still have a save on that map, hit restart scenario in the menu and the prestige sink will pop up.
