From what Granddad told me, they used duct tape to fix holes in wings when they had to be quick. just make sure it flies and off u go.

You need two things in life. Duct tape and WD-40. If it moves, but it shouldn't - use duct tape. If it does not move, but it should - use WD-40.

If we added a third "repair" hero for aircraft specifically, how would you suggest to call it?

"Airframe Mechanic" was the literal name of the job in WWII, at least if you were in the British Navy / Airforce.

I actually still have my grandfathers certificate, but it's at home in Jersey, so I can't show you guys at the moment.
