Santa help

Post by casang »

Was just wondering if anyone out there can steer me in the right direction for santa hermandad nueva spearmen def/offensive and if any one has any suggestions on shield designs. Any help would be great as I am stuck.

I use Mirliton communal italianrange spearmen attacking (45 degreee angled spears) for offensive spear and the upright guys for defensive.

they have a mix of chain and padded armour.

My AME suggests something close to 15C Italians in armour and dress for Spanish 15C infantry, IIRC, but I may be wrong. So Mirliton again :)

Venexia's Italian Wars may be appropriate too:

Hello, "Santa Hermandad Nueva"(New Holy Brotherhood) is the name of the Castilian professional militia system during the final parts of the spanish "reconquista" and the direct ancestor of what later would be the Spanish "Tercios" .
why this army is so popular? Drilled HF (Offensive&deffensive spear,Castilian average and Swiss superior pikemen) a couple of BGs of superior Knigts (one of them could be drilled), up to 24 protected/armored LH bases, MF sup. ssw,MF Impact foot/Off. Spearmen, MF Xbow and LF arquebusiers.
Hope it helps
