Re: Thoughts on Improvements for PBEM
Against snowballing it helps to play at higher difficulties. There bigger nations accumulate decadence faster thus making snowballing more difficult.

Re: Exporting battles to FOG2 and back to FOGE too much work?
Q1: this is done automatically and done with a few clicks. Q2: it would be too much work if you played every battle. I only play the significant ones where the winner is not clear from the beginning. Q3: maybe a bit for a player but not economically. So the answer is no. You should try it. It is a g...

Re: multyplayer
IIRC the turn is processed as soon as all moves are in. Turn time is the maximum time that can pass before a turn is auto-processed.
If you miss several turns (I think 3(?)) then the grace period will no longer apply to you and tuns will be processed as soon as everyone else has turned in their moves.

Re: Very frustrated...
Maybe what I wrote here helps you: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=534&t=102394#p891218 I've played three games as Rome now, all of them have played out about the same--great until about turn 100, then a stalemate of "whack-a-mole" with rebelling regions and declaration...

Re: Seriously?
Its a bit difficult to answer that without any data so here is my guess. In FOGE a battle is a series of 1-1 fights with often very limited frontage. That means that troop quality plays a VERY important role and is much more important than numbers (unless you fight in the desert or open plains). So ...

A written history 'log' would be great.
...
I just wrote a small list of what to include and not, but I deleted it. IF it gets implemented Pocus knows well enough was has to be in it.

I always found 'preemptive retaliation' such a useful political tool. Unfortunately that name is too long.

Re: Game Problems since the latest Patch
I can answer 6) because I asked it, too. Sea blockades have never stopped trade. The reasoning was that at that time sea blockades were not very effective as fleets didn't spend the night on sea for example. The blockade does stop naval units (of course) and the region looses a support bonus it woul...

... their main goal should be to build full provinces and not as many regions as possible ... +1 for me on that. It looks like the sometimes the AI gets an objective far away and aggressively tries to get it. This results in a long string of provinces which are unsupportable and disperse into islan...

Re: a few suggestions / requests
1) is there a possibility to have something like a history on ledger that tracks the history of our faction leaders? example, "adragoras" king of macedon 286-260, glorious empire. and maybe also be able to see his traits. this way we can look back and shape the story of our nation attache...

Re: Real estate is cheaper than CS
Getting a CS becomes more expensive the more CS you already have?
Where is the logic in that? Why would a state be more reluctant to become a client if there are already others?
Besides that it doesn't make sense that you can buy a nation cheaper if you buy it bit by bit than the whole thing at once.

Real estate is cheaper than CS
Bythnia has three regions - buying them is cheaper (209) than asking Bythnia to become a client state (224).
I haven't checked if that is always true but it doesn't seem right.

Understood - unfortunately I can't raid
No big deal but I still think this shouldn't happen. It's an opportunity move that is not possible with anything else.

Insta-raids
As an ally of Rome I've inherited a war against Cymbria. To my surprise I was instantly raided by them.
I think this is a bug. The AI shouldn't be able to raid in the same turn as the war was declared.

Re: Future of Field of Glory: Empires - an appeal
I love this game - it has some very clever mechanisms to make this an interesting game. I will buy any DLC that will come out. But it has some quirks which lead to a bit too much mico-management and some other odds and ends where it could be better. I doubt it would be economically sane to try to fi...

AFAIK it depends on where you are in the list. If you are just in the green or red its 25%. When you are top or bottom its 35%.

Re: Negotiating peace for all the alliance?
I wish eventually there would be a League-type of Alliance... Oh that would be nice. The league would be like a new faction but only diplomatically. All diplomatic events of the league would be inherited by its memebers. There would be a faction leader (defaulting to the human player if any) who de...
