Re: Druzhina
Understood. Waiting for release then. Also, representing any druzhina as cavalry (non-knightly) lancers would be doing them no favours, as they would then be unable to evade and would get easily ridden down by knights. In their present representation as light spear cavalry they can evade and draw th...

Re: Druzhina
The Poles will start to convert to western Knightly tactics from 1155, and the process is assumed to be complete by 1200. Does it mean Poles don't have any kind of lancers up to that time? If so then it might need a change. From what we know from the sources like Gesta Principum Polonorum is that t...

Re: Druzhina
One little question if I may: From what I saw so far Mounted Druzhina has Light Spear capability. Will, there be also a Lancers version of Druzhina available for Poles and Czechs? You know, to represent the shift to more Knightly/Western tactics?

Re: General names
If you give me a list of inappropriate names, with more appropriate replacements, I can hopefully substitute them at some stage. (Maybe in an update after the initial release, as obviously more will come to light when you have full access to the game). Sure, I could do that. We want to be as authen...

Re: General names
I've been watching another video on the SnuggleBunny channel (second match between Poles and Russians) and noticed a name that indeed is anachronistic/unhistorical. One of the Polish commanders with a Lastname Glinski... Glinski were originally a Tatar family. Refugees that after 1380 escaped the Go...

Re: Challenges issued
Salve fratres! A total of 8 new challenges posted by me. As always challenges are paired in mirror matches. Picking both isn't mandatory but welcomed. 1)Starting with some English Civil War action: New Model Army 1646-1660 vs Royalists 1645-1648 (Forces size: Large!) 2)Next Polish-Ottoman War: Ottom...

Re: War Wagons
That light gonne still likely weighs over 1000 lbs!! Btw, does the name translate to “falcon”? No. Houfnica/Hufnica translates to "Battle's or "Battalion's" so a "canon that is attached to a unit larger than a single banner". As for the weight, it varied greatly. I couldn't...

Re: War Wagons
Veles - what are your thoughts on the prevalence and use of war wagons with light cannons instead of handgunners? Hm... why not both? It could work similarly to attached guns in Pike&Shot. It would be another variant of a war wagon: War Wagon + LG (Light Guns) which could add additional firepow...

Re: General names
Hm, a name and last name like that wouldn't be something completely out of place in XIV century Kindom of Poland. The problem appears with earlier army lists covering the XI or XII century (I don't exactly know what army lists Poland has in this game). Then again if those names are supposed to remai...

Wagon forts/War wagons
Salve fratres! Ok, so a new discussion about wagon forts has erupted in the thread about the Wendish army list. In order to avoid off-topic, I took the liberty and created this topic so we can continue this discussion here: Yeah, I was kind of thinking of the wagenburg as a cross between the elephan...

Re: War Wagons
To ease your wait I can already reveal that I have good arguments for some units of Pomeranian Spearmen: Average, Protected Offensive/Deffensive Spearmen with Deep Spear POA. More interesting things down the line. Fascinating. I've never researched the Pomeranians very much, so this will be quite t...

Re: Polabian/Pomeranian Army List
I see. Thanks, I will do that. In my experience, they're generally very good with listening to community suggestions on army lists. Put together a list with some supporting documentation, and I bet it'll be included. It will definitely help if you can map your suggested list to existing unit types ...

Re: Polabian/Pomeranian Army List
We lacked sufficient information to significantly differentiate them. Once the game is released, if you are able to research a separate Wendish list that we are happy with, we can perhaps add it in a later update. But wait till you see how the joint list is defined in game so you can properly deter...

Polabian/Pomeranian Army List
Salve fratres! I have I question about a matter that I believe was already "taken under discussion" after the release of Wolf at the Gates. Namely, will FoG 2 Medieval feature any Polabian or Pomeranian list (or joined Polabian-Pomeranian list) to represent pagan Western Slavs? Considering...

Re: Future team events
I think that the Habsburgs idea would stretch to 6 games no touble. Keep us all happy for 6 months :D Now I'm sitting here smiling like an idiot :D I'm glad you guys like my idea. And yes, totally. The Habsburg thing can be stretched out almost indefinitely. I only presented the "light" v...

Re: Future team events
I will join any Pike&Shot tournament. I'm not too picky  I think that the "Someone vs someone's enemies" formula works really well. I think we could use it in the future, we just have to pick a country that had a diverse pool of enemies. Or better yet, a dynasty. Maybe "Habs...
