Re: OOS bug

Sorry, was away yesterday and only saw the replies now. It was an online game - I saved the screenie at the time, but only later read here how to report a bug using the tap-tap method. I'll know for next time. But it looks like you've got the problem pinned down to the 1.1 vs 1 ver compatibility. At...

OOS bug

I'm playing the patched version. I had a weird OOS bug, see attached image. My Allied reinforcements in Arlon got bumped to Sedan, but still appeared later. On the first impulse of the day, I had to option to move them (but didn't - had other higher priorites). But then, in the next impulse, they'd ...

Re: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to all PzC afficionados! After being distracted by some other titles (especially CTGW), I look forward to doing some more Panzering this summer!

Myrddraal, as a Xmas/New Year present, could you or other Lordz guys add a few more entries to the FAQ this week? :)

I just did moves for 3 games on Christmas Day. Yet, amazingly, I do have a life! :P

Re: Films on the Great War . . .

The remake of "All Quiet", with that guy from the Waltons as Paul, wasn't bad either. Or you can go with the US battle scenes in "Legends of the Fall" :P Then there is a terrific Australian film called "Beneath Hill 60", about the mining operation prior to the attack on...

Great, thanks, I'll set up the game and PM you within the next few hours. Would you rather play CP or Entente?

PBEM 1916 scenario

I'd like to start a new game using the 1916 scenario. I haven't tried it, but it seems relatively balanced for both sides, and so should give each side a fighting opportunity. It will also offer a different flavour to the standard 1914 start, that I seem to have covered from every possible angle! I'...

Re: Chat feature?

The 'telegram' system is used in many other wargames I play, e.g. Panzer Corps, Commander series - it works very well. Interactive chat is not needed, but the opportunity for turn-by-turn communication definitely is!

Re: Playing the AI not an option

Disbanding fleets now carries a NM penalty of 10% in the new patch, so it's a much less attractive option.

Re: Multi-player game not working

I had a similar situation. I set up a game with me as CP. My opponent accepted. I then played my first turn and successfully uploaded my turn. Then my opponent (highlandcharge on the Matrix forums) says he crashes when he tries to download to play his turn. We are both on the beta patch.

Re: Great game! A few suggestions

I agree, this leaves a hole in the AI that a decent human player would never allow to occur. In most wargames I've played, once you go out of supply your movement slows and you start to lose efficiency. The rules as current work well for Inf, but not for Pz. I suggest here the unit could have 1 turn...

Re: Invite a friend

Okay, one thing I'd like fixed about this. I want to start a new 'random' game in Game Centre that uses the 'Battle of the Meuse' scenario. However, I never get a chance to set this up, as the auto-matcher always connects me to a pending game that someone else has already set up (and it's always bee...

Re: The AIs

Airshack, I agree that the AI struggles against serious wargamers (it hasn't beaten me yet), but the game is quite balanced for human opponents. Let me know if you want to try an MP game, I can play allies. We'll see then whether your Lehr can punch my line!

Re: My One UI Complaint

Yes, I've done it a few times - it lost me the game once, when I moved my infantry 1 space and then forgot the 2nd encircling double move with my Panzer. An pop-up warning would be really handy.

Re: Wanted an iPad for 10 seconds

Yes, I've played it for about 10 hours so far. It focussed on one battle, but does this intensively. The game system is elegant - it's a real wargame. Not hex based (the map is divided up in to regions), and game turns range from 30 min to a few hours (game time) but only take a couple of minutes ea...

Re: CTGW v1.14 Public Beta Available

Turn of Russian entry I disbanded both naval units. Nothing happened. No notice. No NM loss. Worked okay for me. I got the 'Scrap the Pride' message, and lost 10% on NM on the next turn. One possible bug I've noticed - if you leave the tutorial messages on, and it keeps coming up for the disband ac...
