Re: Capcoms
That's what I have been doing it was just that the logic was always selecting the highest leadership one. I have noticed that the best astronaut also looks like it is best leadership as on one Apollo mission it selected #3 who never uses leadership and was a newbie with good stats there but a lousy ...

Re: [Suggestion] Back up crew
I agree - at present I am simulating crew training by forcing the crew that has just flown to go off and train. Otherwise you can run Apollo with about 4 or 5 astronauts. In reality a mission crew was set up and trained for a good long time. Deke Slayton's rotation policy meant you flew again about ...

Capcoms
Just a thought - currently the capcom is selected prior to the crew leading to what to me looks like the 'best' astronaut being default picked for this slot rather than actually as flight crew. Would it not be worth thinking whether the 'best' crew member for the job be the one after the best (1/2/3...

Re: My Experience in First Few Playthroughs
With regard the flight controllers stepping - when the sum of 'involvedness' in the list is <100% does that mean that there is a good chance that sometimes no 'saving throw' can be tried?

Re: My Experience in First Few Playthroughs
My thoughts exactly - I was just getting the hang like you but got a failure on a Apollo 7 type mission and wasted time getting the CSM running because I couldn't do shorter missions with a Saturn V to give me a chance of a less risky requalification. I had a few thoughts like you did over Gemini - ...

Re: Apollo CSM variable reliability
Think I found it - I was being 'penalised' for going for an earlier mission in the sequence of Apollo missions than I had reached

[NOT A BUG] Apollo CSM variable reliability
Just saw something that looked odd - on some missions the CSM reliabilty suddenly gained a (-30%) tag and also the overall reliabilty went down. Why? The all up lunar mission did not have it but when (in order to satisfy the von Braun's Dream) goal I punted up a manned lunar flyby one it gained it. ...

[QUESTION] VAB level 2
Can't see anything on this but what is an upgrade to the VAB for? Not going to the moon since I managed an Apollo landing and nothing else has whined about it not being at that level. Admittedly I haven't tried 2 launches in the quarter to see if that was it
