Final Stand - Passive AI - mission finishes early

Greetings,

On Final Stand At Archeron I think the AI is bugged as from around turn 8 I got the first of two messages saying "Prepare for the next assault wave!" and yet the AI just sits there inactive until turn 14 when suddenly the SM arrive and the mission ends 6 turns early.

Was I meant to be able to use the SM? As soon as they land it's mission and was really disappointing seeing as there was so much time left.

Anyway, not the first mission I've found where the AI does nothing, but thought I may as well report it.

It seems to me it is the same as the "lazy Ork" issue.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm not sure why the mission would end 6 turns early and not let me use the SM that land, maybe this related to the passive AI.

If you have the lazy Orks, you hold the 6 victory hexes. The scenario designer did not expect this case (because the lazy Orks are a bug).
I was surprised too as this scenario ended to early (in my point of view).

I have a discussion with the scenario designer about such things. viewtopic.php?f=324&t=54873
Compared to other scenarios this issue is a minor issue.

I would change this scenario for you, if you want.
I would try to make additional triggers to "activate" the lazy Orks. But you have to restart this scenario.
Or you wait for the next patch. It is one of the mayor issues (for me) for the next patch.

Thank you for your replies fsx.

I am looking at those posts. I really hope the passive AI is fixed because personally, it's really ruining the experience for me in what is otherwise a very enjoyable WH40K experience.
